Job Description:

Job Summary

The Operational Resilience Analyst supports the development, implementation, and sustainment of the university's enterprise Business Continuity Planning (BCP), IT Disaster Recovery (IT DR), and ISO management system programs. This role ensures continuity plans are actionable, aligned with system recovery capabilities, and maintained as current and relevant. This execution focused position requires strong knowledge of Business Continuity Planning, IT systems, infrastructure, and recovery strategies, along with the ability to support audits, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Work within an enterprise university environment.
  • Partners with colleges, departments, Enterprise Risk, and IT teams to develop role-based continuity plans, support disaster recovery strategies, and coordinate testing activities.
  • Translate complex technical dependencies into practical recovery actions and ensures plans are effective during real-world disruptions.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the evolving needs of enterprise operational resilience, compliance, quality, risk, and continuity programs.

Skills Needed:
  • Strong knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery, emergency preparedness, and operational resilience frameworks
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards and management systems across multiple domains
  • Strong program and project management skills, including coordination of complex, multi-unit initiatives
  • Experience in higher education or complex, decentralized environments
  • Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders across multiple levels and units
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risk, interpret data, and drive informed decisions
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage executive leadership
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into practical, scalable solutions
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to lead both strategically and operationally


What is Helpful:
  • Experience with BCP/DR frameworks
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT systems
  • ISO internal auditor or related certification
