Quality and EH&S Manager

Position OverviewThe Quality and EH&S Manager is responsible for leading, implementing, and continuously improving the organization's quality assurance, environmental health and safety (EH&S), programs. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, customer, shipyard, and internal requirements while driving a culture of safety, quality, and continuous workforce development.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of this position include, but may not be limited to, the following:
- Quality Assurance & Control
- Establish, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Ensure compliance with contract specifications and workmanship standards
- Conduct inspections, audits, and non-conformance tracking
- Coordinate with customers and third-party inspectors
- Maintain quality records and audit documentation
- Guide and lead inspector personnel
- Safety (EHS) Leadership & Compliance
- Provide leadership and oversight of all company safety programs and policies
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NAVSEA, shipyard, customer, and site-specific requirements
- Develop and enforce Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and site safety plans
- Conduct safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks
- Lead incident, near-miss, and injury investigations and corrective actions
- Serve as primary liaison with shipyards and regulatory safety representatives
- Utilize the resources of our insurance partnerships to strengthen our safety programs
- Guide and lead inspector personnel
- Program, Operational & Risk Support
- Integrate safety and quality requirements into project planning
- Support project kick-offs, reviews, and closeouts
- Provide safety and quality metrics and reporting to leadership
- Support risk assessments for new projects
Experience & Other Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management, Industrial Safety, Quality, Engineering, or related field OR 5-8 years of progressive experience in a related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA and industrial/shipyard safety compliance
- Experience in government contracting or shipyard environments preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and background screening
- Must be able to obtain and maintain DBIDS and shipyard access
