Full Job Description
The QC Processor is responsible for the oversight and review of internal technical evaluation reports for file-based assets, identifying any/all errors and anomalies and recommending, as well as executing solutions for correction. The candidate is expected to collaborate with internal and external production executives, licensors, and post production facilities to ensure only technically sound assets are used for broadcast and/or distribution. Your Role Accountabilities: • Perform detailed technical review of file-based content acquired for HBO linear and HBO MAX platforms • Effectively analyze and communicate any deviations from HBO/MAX's technical standards • Execute solutions to correct technical anomalies and update internal departmental database and records • Work with production, post production staff, and studio executives to resolve technical anomalies • Review provided fixed files, research related rejection and production history, and prepare materials for editing • Perform non-creative edits to existing masters to create approved fixes or updates • Ensure all pertinent approval and rejection information is entered into the departmental databases for downstream distribution and processing • Provide support for the current and future digital infrastructure, specifically leveraging technical knowledge, experience, and expertise • Contribute to streamlining existing processes Qualifications & Experiences: • 5-7 years of experience working in the television or film industry in a production and/or post-production quality control capacity • A background in or extensive knowledge of video and audio editing • Expertise in mastering and distribution workflows, techniques and standards • Proficient with various file formats such as MXF, AS-O2, OP-1a, ProRes, IMF a plus • Experience with Adobe Premiere, Iris QC Pro, and Colorfront QC Player a plus • Extensive knowledge of television broadcast and broadband distribution technologies • Familiarity with next gen formats such as UHD, HDR, Dolby Atmos, HEVC, etc. a plus In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $59,500.00 - $110,500.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
