Aecon Nuclear provides a full spectrum of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services, in addition to maintenance and manufacturing services tailored to meet the demanding requirements of the nuclear power industry. Aecon has been awarded an Extended Services Master Services Agreement (ESMSA) with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for projects at both the Pickering & Darlington Nuclear Generating Stations.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the QC Inspector is a highly motivated self starter who will assist in various areas of the ESMSA project, depending on business requirements.
What You'll Do Here:- Perform mechanical quality inspections in accordance with Aecon's Quality Program, applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
- Conduct receipt, in-process, and final inspections of materials, components, and assemblies.
- Verify materials and supporting documentation (e.g., Certificates of Conformance, CMTR/MTR) in accordance with approved quality purchase orders.
- Review, support, and implement Construction Inspection and Test Plans (CITPs).
- Complete, review, and maintain inspection records, Manufacturer's Data Reports (MDRs), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Ensure compliance with nuclear safety standards, approved drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Witness and verify construction, fabrication, and welding activities in accordance with engineering drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Perform internal weld monitoring and surveillance as required.
- Verify that measuring and test equipment is properly identified, compliant, and calibrated prior to use.
- Interface with regulatory authorities (e.g., TSSA) and customers as required.
- Perform special process monitoring activities, including pressure testing.
What You Bring to the Team:- Post-secondary education in welding technology, QA/QC, or related field.
- 2+ years QC experience in nuclear welding/fabrication.
- CWB W178.2 Level 2 CWI required; AWS CWI preferred.
- Knowledge of ASME B&PV (Nuclear), CSA, ANSI N690, CWB, and AWS D1.1.
- Proficient in MS Office; strong communication and organization skills.
- Experience within a Nuclear Quality Program considered an asset.
- Able to effectively interact with people at all levels of the organization with view to implementing quality requirements and objectives.
- Ability to work outside regular business hours to support ongoing projects as required.

Pay Range: $45 - $50/hr
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
