QC Engineer to join the project in Manhattan, NY
DESCRIPTION:As an QC Field Engineer at Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture reporting to
the QC Manager & Sr. Project Manager you will have the opportunity to:
- Expand and Develop standard operating procedures and processes to achieve the highest levels of quality associated with delivering a completed construction project
- Assist with the creation of project specific Quality Management Plans and verify implementation of plan for each project
- Assist with the development of Quality metrics that empower teams to review information on quality execution; work cross-functionally with operations to address any trend.
- Manage a team of Quality professionals to execute the administrative tasks related to reporting site evaluations, quality reporting requirements, and site specific quality planning
- Conduct random site evaluations, including follow-up evaluations to ensure corrections have been made to deficiencies
- Create mechanisms for sharing best practices and quality issues across project teams and among all quality personnel
- Act as a resource for field operations with compliance on Federal and State regulatory requirements as well as local quality regulations including: ADA, ASHE, NFPA, UL, ASTM, and FBC
- Develop and update comprehensive training curriculum for all field operations, Quality Department Staff, and Subcontractors
- Stay abreast of trends and evolving best practices by participating in organizations and forums dedicated to Quality.
- Keep the Company informed of the latest updates on best practices and standards
REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in MEP quality control in building construction projects.
- Prove experience in conducting inspections, audits, and managing quality documentation.
- Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficient with quality management software and MS Office.
- Relevant certifications in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma) are a plus.
