QA/QC Manager - Stainless Steel Welding - Semiconductor Construction (Arizona)

Full-Time | Industrial Construction / Semiconductor

We are hiring an experienced QA/QC Manager to oversee quality assurance and quality control for stainless steel piping and orbital welding on a major semiconductor construction project in Arizona. This role requires a hands-on quality leader with strong industrial piping experience, proven leadership skills, and extensive knowledge of stainless steel welding and QA/QC programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee QA/QC operations for stainless steel piping and welding activities
  • Lead and develop QA/QC programs, policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Lead a team of certified welders and QA/QC personnel
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly quality audits and performance reviews
  • Ensure quality workmanship for stainless steel pipe welding, including Orbital GTAW
  • Monitor workforce quality and subcontractor performance
  • Conduct subcontractor audits, evaluations, and quality reviews
  • Identify, document, track, and resolve non-conformances and corrective actions
  • Maintain quality records, inspection documentation, audit reports, and corrective action records
  • Partner with engineering, design, construction, EHS, subcontractors, and project owner teams
  • Support continuous improvement of field quality processes and workmanship
  • Ensure project quality requirements, specifications, and procedures are consistently followed

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience leading and developing QA/QC programs, policies, and procedures within industrial construction
  • Strong industrial piping construction experience required
  • Required experience with stainless steel piping and welding
  • Hands-on knowledge of Orbital GTAW welding
  • Experience conducting welding and piping quality audits and inspections
  • Proven experience implementing and managing corrective action processes
  • Experience auditing and evaluating subcontractor quality and performance
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; 10+ years of progressive QA/QC field and leadership experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Semiconductor or other high-tech industrial construction experience strongly preferred
  • English/Mandarin bilingual skills highly desirable
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Must complete required project security, site safety orientation, and online training before entering the project site
