Overview
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for developing and applying process quality control standards in the designated project. These standards may be related to the manufacturing process, Construction process, materials utilized, overall product or a combination of all four. The QC Manager will also be involved in testing, inspecting and evaluating design and construction methods, procedures as well as final products.
Location & Travel DetailsYou'll get the opportunity to travel across the US, helping our team build infrastructure projects.
This is a traveling position that requires travel up to 100% of the time. You may support projects located in various states throughout the US. Potential project locations may include, but are not limited to,
PA, KS, NC, SC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, and WY, with additional locations added frequently as our organization continues to grow.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the implementation of all related process quality standards.
• Test, measure and analyze those standards. • Evaluate procedural methods.
• Manage subcontractors/labs for testing products and formulating the appropriate data.
• Perform all related QAQC inspections
• Maintain inspections logs
• Maintain all subcontractors/Lab's job files.
• Attend weekly meetings • Project Monthly Testing Report Generation
• Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of process equipment.
• Identifies process faults (deficiencies/short comings) and records and reports as necessary
• QC Process Punch-List Management.
• Mentoring preparation and control of project quality system management documentation prior to project/ Activity commencement
• Ensuring all project site compliance with Document Control system.
• Ensuring proper turnover of complete quality control, ensure that turnover documentation is maintained, organized, and turned over on schedule.
• Check & monitor progress/approval reports status daily, weekly, and monthly, track storing, loading and delivery to the project site.
• Check & monitors that all materials and equipment's being used have been properly approved by the EOR / AOR
• Prior beginning the project, study the existing survey of the site / project to compare with the proposed site plan and verify.
• Confirm new and existing construction layouts are made properly, checking existing perimeters structures, setbacks, elevations, existing structures.
• Prior commencement verifies that the specification, plans, all documents control system is in order and fulfil schedule.
• Verify that all testing and inspection needed for that specific job, system is created and follows standards set by the AHJ including but not limited too city, county, AOR, EOR, special inspector, etc.
• Verify that all areas/items inspected follows the current contract documents. i.e. Project's Drawings, Shop Drawings, Specifications, Sketches, etc.
• To perform our QA/QC inspection before calling for inspections. Verify that the specification of the material (concrete, steel, wood soil, MEP equipment.) to be used is the same on plans, specification and in Subcontractor documents then verify on site during construction. • Create a construction check list for each important task to verify material, staff, inspection, safety, etc.
• Maintain good communication with Project Team and General Superintendent to inform any important problem, discrepancy in the design, codes interpretations, specs or drawing, or anything.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 5+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic fast pace environment.
• Superior communication and organization development skills.
• Ability to stand or walk on concrete floor for 8+ hours; lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and manage cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Procore.
• Ability to travel and/or relocate within the United States

• Experience in projects greater than $100 million
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
