What You'll Do

In this role, you will manage vendor quality from purchase order through final documentation, including vendor drawing and data review, shop surveillance, source inspections, and resolution of nonconformances. You will also perform independent QA/QC reviews of multidisciplinary engineering drawings to identify errors and interface gaps before fabrication or field execution. As Project Coordinator, you will support project managers and lead engineers by tracking deliverables, schedules, and action items; managing document flow; and helping keep vendors, disciplines, and clients aligned.

    • Conduct fabrication shop surveillance and source inspections, coordinating third-party inspection agencies when required
    • Review welding documentation, including WPS/PQR qualifications, welder certifications, and NDE requirements and results
    • Witness and document shop testing activities, including hydrostatic testing, coating inspection, and dimensional verification
    • Review vendor final documentation and Manufacturing Record Books, including MTRs, weld maps, and inspection and test records, for acceptance prior to shipment and turnover
    • Support vendor qualification activities, audits, and maintenance of the approved vendor list
  • CROSS-DISCIPLINE DRAWING QA/QC
    • Perform independent QA/QC reviews of drawings across all disciplines, including mechanical, piping, civil/structural, electrical, and instrumentation & controls
    • Verify consistency across related deliverables, including P&IDs, plot plans, piping layouts and isometrics, one-line diagrams, and instrument indexes, with attention to tags, line numbers, and discipline interfaces
    • Review drawings against design basis documents, company and client standards, and applicable codes prior to issue
    • Coordinate squad checks and track review comments through resolution and final back-check
    • Develop and maintain drawing-check procedures and discipline checklists that promote consistent, repeatable quality across projects
    • Apply and interpret applicable codes and standards, including ASME B31.3/B31.4/B31.8, ASME BPVC Sections V, VIII, and IX, API 1104, API 650/653, AWS D1.1, Title 49 CFR Parts 190-199, and SSPC/AMPP coating standards
  • PROJECT COORDINATION & DELIVERABLE MANAGEMENT
    • Support project managers and lead engineers by tracking deliverable status, schedules, budget items, and action items across engineering disciplines
    • Coordinate deliverables, transmittals, and document control among internal disciplines, vendors, and the client, with proactive follow-up to keep reviews and approvals on schedule
    • Maintain accurate project quality documentation, including quality plans, deliverable lists, comment logs, and progress reports
    • Serve as the primary quality and coordination interface with vendors from purchase order award through delivery, supporting RFQs and technical bid evaluations as needed
    • Coordinate project meetings, document minutes and action items, and follow through to timely closure
    • Route, track, and support resolution of RFIs, technical queries, and design changes throughout the project lifecycle
    • Conduct field assessments and walkdowns to verify installed quality and help resolve vendor or construction issues
    • Support construction, commissioning, and startup activities, including receiving inspections, punch list resolution, and as-built documentation
