Your role and responsibilities
As a
QA Engineer - Financial Systems you will design and execute comprehensive data quality testing strategies for various data-intensive applications. You will develop a deep understanding of business requirements and design optimized test scenarios to ensure data quality and integrity.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
•
Design Testing Strategies: Design and execute comprehensive data quality testing strategies for ETL, Big Data, and data-intensive applications, including BAO, MDM, and data migrations.
•
Plan Testing Activities: Plan and execute testing activities, estimate work efforts, create test cases, and identify test environment and test data requirements.
•
Execute Test Cases: Utilize manual and automation solutions to execute test cases, report test status, and perform defect creation, triage, and resolution.
•
Analyze Test Outcomes: Analyze test outcomes for continuous improvements using analytical and cognitive techniques and tools.
•
Optimize Test Scenarios: Develop a deep understanding of business requirements and design optimized test scenarios to ensure data quality and integrity.

Required technical and professional expertise
- Experience in Core Banking System (FIS) in domains such as:
- Deposits: DDA, savings, money market, CDs, IRAs- Lending: consumer loans, mortgage, home equity, auto loans
- General Ledger: GL posting, balancing, reconciliation
- ACH & Payments: ACH origination and receipt, wire transfers, bill pay
- Data Quality Testing Experience: Experience with designing and executing comprehensive data quality testing strategies for ETL, Big Data, and data-intensive applications, including BAO, MDM, and data migrations.
- Business Requirements Understanding: Experience in developing a deep understanding of business requirements to design optimized test scenarios ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Test Planning and Execution: Experience with planning and executing testing activities, estimating work efforts, creating test cases, and identifying test environment and test data requirements.
- Test Automation and Analysis: Experience utilizing manual and automation solutions to execute test cases, reporting test status, and performing defect creation, triage, and resolution, as well as analyzing test outcomes for continuous improvements.
- Technical Tools and Techniques: Experience with analytical and cognitive techniques and tools for data quality testing and analysis.

Data Migration Knowledge: Experience with data migration projects, including data quality testing and validation, is beneficial for this role. Familiarity with data migration tools and technologies can aid in designing and executing comprehensive data quality testing strategies.

BAO and MDM Expertise: Experience working with Business Application Objects (BAO) and Master Data Management (MDM) systems can be advantageous in designing optimized test scenarios and ensuring data quality and integrity.

Advanced Analytics Skills: Knowledge of advanced analytics and cognitive techniques can enhance the analysis of test outcomes for continuous improvements, although it is not a requirement for the position.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
