JOB SUMMARY
The QA Engineer develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality evaluation and control systems for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. This role devises and implements inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and program execution goals. The QA Engineer works independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain quality systems and protocols for materials and products
Inspect and review products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
Perform rework and repair processing for production hardware/software
Translate customer requirements into program execution and tasking
Collaborate with customers across organizations, functions, and government agencies
Utilize precision tools such as microscopes, calipers, and measurement systems
Create non-conformance reports and DCMA submittals when required
Support audits and inspections to ensure adherence to AS9100 and related standards
Participate in RCCA activities to resolve quality issues
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical discipline with 4-6+ years of experience, or 8-10+ years of engineering/technical experience in lieu of degree
Ability to read and interpret drawings, prints, and specifications
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) across multiple customers and organizations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to learn Client Systems software and data management programs
Proven ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams
Experience with production hardware/software processing
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical field
Active Secret Clearance
Prior Quality Assurance Engineering experience
Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and AS9102 requirements
Green Belt/Black Belt certification
Hands-on experience in a defense contracting environment
Exposure to AS9145 Advanced Product Quality Program
Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management Systems and quality auditing
Experience with configuration control and hardware reporting
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technology required
