Job SummaryThe QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of IT products and services through the design, development, and execution of comprehensive testing strategies and automation frameworks.
This role collaborates closely with DevOps, Product Leads, SDET, PMO, and business stakeholders to embed quality engineering practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The QA Engineer drives continuous improvement through automation, data-driven insights, AI-powered capabilities, and standardized quality processes to support scalable and resilient technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with DevOps, Product Leads, and business stakeholders to review requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and define testing scope.
- Design and implement comprehensive QA strategies, test plans, and automation approaches to support software delivery.
- Ensure applications and technology solutions meet established quality standards, business requirements, and user expectations.
- Develop and integrate automated tests and quality checks within CI/CD pipelines.
- Define, track, analyze, and report testing and quality metrics to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Design and develop dashboards, KPIs, quality metrics, trends, and actionable insights to improve decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies using data-driven insights and AI-powered capabilities.
- Participate in architecture and solution design discussions to ensure testability and quality considerations are incorporated early in the SDLC.
- Promote best practices in quality assurance, test automation, and defect management.
- Perform and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical quality issues.
- Conduct risk analysis, identify quality trends, and recommend appropriate risk mitigation solutions.
- Support enterprise QA process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, cycle time, defects, and rework across IT operations and delivery.
- Promote consistent adoption of standardized QA processes across IT teams.
- Implement automated controls to validate data completeness, accuracy, consistency, reconciliation, and metric integrity.
- Promote a quality-first culture and continuous improvement across delivery teams.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related Engineering field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of job-related work experience in excess of degree requirements.
- Strong knowledge of quality engineering practices, test automation, defect management, testing methodologies, and quality metrics.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Ansible, Selenium, or similar technologies.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or comparable CI/CD platforms.
- Experience integrating automated quality checks and testing into CI/CD delivery pipelines.
- Experience using Generative AI, AI agents, or AI/ML capabilities to automate workflows, analyze data, generate insights, and perform quality or process validation.
- Hands-on experience developing interactive dashboards, KPIs, and operational or quality metrics using Power BI or comparable visualization platforms.
- Ability to implement automated controls for data completeness, accuracy, consistency, reconciliation, and metric integrity.
- Experience integrating automation and analytics with platforms such as JIRA, ServiceNow, qTest, and SharePoint.
