Job Summary
We are seeking a QA Automation Test Engineer to support data and analytics projects within the public sector. The role will focus on testing dashboards, data pipelines, and automation processes to ensure data integrity, system performance, and reliable business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on automation experience and be capable of independently defining testing approaches, troubleshooting issues, and driving quality initiatives within Agile delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for data pipelines and dashboards.
• Review user stories and acceptance criteria and develop comprehensive testing strategies.
• Validate dashboard functionality, data accuracy, KPI calculations, and data integrity.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution.
• Perform performance testing and identify performance, scalability, and data-quality issues.
• Collaborate closely with developers, Business Analysts, and BI Engineers throughout Agile sprints.
• Determine appropriate testing approaches based on project requirements and technical considerations.
• Troubleshoot testing issues and independently drive testing activities through completion.
• Develop and maintain automated test flows to support data and analytics applications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test coverage, and automation practices.

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as a QA/Test Engineer supporting data or analytics projects.
• Experience supporting Workers' Compensation systems, claims, or related business operations.
• Strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and executing automated test flows.
• Strong automation testing expertise; this role is primarily focused on automation rather than manual QA.
• Experience with performance testing and identifying performance, scalability, and data-quality issues.
• Experience testing data pipelines and dashboards.
• Strong understanding of data validation and data integrity testing.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Ability to independently determine testing approaches and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of testing activities, and drive work forward without relying on predefined checklists or step-by-step direction.
