Job Summary:
AssetWorks is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to help build and sustain a test-driven, quality-first culture across the M5 platform. In this role, you will partner closely with engineering teams to ensure our high standards for quality are consistently met while advancing modern testing strategies, tools, and processes.
A key expectation for this role is demonstrated expertise in leveraging Agentic AI for QA automation and testing workflows. This includes using AI-driven agents to design, generate, execute, and optimize test cases, accelerate defect detection, and improve overall test efficiency. The successful candidate will play a critical role in integrating AI-assisted automation into the development lifecycle to enhance scalability, reduce manual effort, and improve release confidence.
This is a "lead by example" role requiring the ability to balance shifting priorities. Responsibilities will range from enhancing and maintaining automated test frameworks and suites, to supporting manual testing efforts where needed, to championing best practices and mentoring team members. You bring a strong desire to learn, innovate, and solve complex quality challenges in pursuit of engineering excellence.
This position is remote within North America and reports to the Software Engineering Manager.

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for regression, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Leverage Agentic AI technologies to generate, execute, and optimize test cases; analyze results; and improve defect detection and overall test efficiency
  • Execute and support manual regression and functional testing of enterprise product features, including web applications, reporting, and integrations where automation is not yet available
  • Develop and implement AI-assisted testing strategies to increase coverage, accelerate testing cycles, and reduce manual effort
  • Perform installation, upgrade, and validation testing of product packages across supported environments
  • Collaborate with engineering teams during planning, story grooming, and design discussions to ensure testability and quality are built into solutions from the outset
  • Review and interpret product and business requirements to define comprehensive test scenarios and acceptance criteria
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve test plans, test cases, and automation assets
  • Execute tests, record results, and clearly communicate test status and risks to stakeholders
  • Generate detailed defect reports, track issues in the defect management system, and partner with development teams to support timely resolution
  • Continuously evaluate and improve test coverage, automation effectiveness, and quality metrics
  • Advocate for and drive best practices in QA, test automation, and AI-driven testing across the team
  • Lead and influence the evolution of the team's testing and automation strategy, with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and innovation


Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess an Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in Computer science, or other related area of expertise, or equivalent experience.

The position requires:
  • 5 years of software testing experience
  • Experience utilizing APIs (SOAP, REST, GraphQL, etc.) and writing API tests.
  • Experience with source control (Git, Github.)
  • Experience with relational databases, such as SQL, Oracle, etc.
  • Expertise with automation tools, such as Selenium, Postman, Playwright, etc.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code, Github CoPilot, or Kiro, in all facets of their work, including creation of automated test cases.
  • Experience building and maintaining testing frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of writing effective test cases and test scripts.
  • Effective listening, communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
