Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated QA Automation Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate is passionate about software quality, has strong experience developing and refining automation frameworks, and can build scalable, maintainable automated testing solutions. This role requires expertise in automation and manual testing, with a strong focus on continuously improving our automation framework to increase test coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks using Katalon Studio and Selenium WebDriver.
- Continuously improve existing automation frameworks by developing reusable components, increasing automation coverage, and improving framework scalability and maintainability.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, API, and database testing.
- Integrate automated test execution into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and fix automation execution issues.
- Manage automation code using Git, following version control procedures and participating in code reviews.
- Implement manual testing, exploratory testing, regression testing, and user acceptance support as needed.
- Perform API testing using SOAP and REST services.
- Perform mobile application testing on Android and iOS platforms.
- Conduct database testing using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio by writing SQL queries.
- Analyze automation failures, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate directly with developers to resolve issues.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, automation documentation, and testing metrics.
- Collaborate closely with developers, and product owners throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Recommend and implement improvements to QA processes, automation strategies, and testing standards.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years + experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong emphasis on automation testing.
- Proven experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing automation frameworks.
- Strong hands-on experience with Katalon Studio (Groovy) and Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience developing reusable automation libraries, custom keywords, and framework components in Groovy.
- Experience integrating automated tests into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with Git for source code management and version control.
- Strong experience testing web, mobile, API, and database applications.
- Experience with SOAP and REST API testing.
- Strong SQL skills with experience using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio for database validation, and backend testing.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and software quality procedures.
- Experience using test management and defect tracking tools.
- Excellent analytical, fixing, and problem-solving skills.
Programming Skills- Strong programming or scripting experience is desirable.
- Groovy experience is highly preferred for developing and enhancing Katalon Studio automation frameworks, custom keywords, reusable libraries, and test utilities.
- Java experience is strongly preferred, particularly for Selenium WebDriver automation framework development and integration.
- Experience with other object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.
- Ability to read, understand, debug, and enhance existing automation codebases while following coding standards and guidelines.
Additional DetailsThe base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$86,800 - $150,100
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
