Job Summary The Python AWS Developer will design, develop, modify, test, debug, and maintain Python-based enterprise applications and microservices, with a strong focus on AWS services in recent experience. The role will work with the FastAPI web framework, SQLAlchemy ORM, RESTful APIs, database access layers, and high-volume transactional workloads. The developer will also support applications for finance, investment, and fraud detection functions while improving application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Key Responsibilities • Design, write, modify, test, debug, and maintain Python-based application programs and microservices using FastAPI and SQLAlchemy ORM. • Develop and modify application logic using Python and object-oriented programming principles to support scalable, reliable, and maintainable enterprise applications. • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs that enable communication between distributed applications, internal services, and external systems. • Develop and optimize database access programs, data access layers, and SQL queries for applications supporting high-volume transactional workloads. • Modify and optimize application programs to improve processing efficiency, response times, scalability, and overall system performance. • Write new program code and modify existing application code to implement business functionality, resolve defects, improve performance, and support changing application requirements. • Analyze program behavior and existing source code to identify errors, inefficiencies, and opportunities for code improvement. • Refactor existing application code to improve maintainability, readability, performance, and reliability while preserving required application functionality. • Integrate and modify software components and APIs to support communication between distributed applications and external systems. • Modify and debug application source code to resolve functional errors, performance issues, and production defects. • Develop programming solutions for transactional processing and anomaly detection applications supporting enterprise finance, investment, and fraud detection functions. • Apply established coding standards, object-oriented programming practices, version-control procedures, and software development methodologies when creating and modifying application programs. Required Qualifications • Strong recent hands-on experience using AWS services in a development role. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. • Strong experience developing applications using Python. • Experience with FastAPI and SQLAlchemy ORM. • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles. • Experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs. • Experience working with database access layers and SQL queries. • Experience supporting high-volume transactional applications. • Experience with application debugging, defect resolution, code optimization, and refactoring. • Understanding of distributed applications and integration with internal and external systems. • Experience applying software development methodologies, coding standards, and version-control practices.
