Job description
Safran Landing Systems is looking for a Commodity Purchasing Manager for machined parts in the North America zone. Reporting to the Director of Purchasing North America, you will manage a team of buyers based in Canada and Mexico.
• Define, validate and deploy the Target Purchasing Policy for specific segments
• Define and deploy a cost reduction plan including the development of the BCC supply chain
• Ensure Contract are signed with suppliers of the panel - monitor Contract coverage
• Ensure the follow-up of negotiation / RFQ
• Ensure escalation and support to buyers in particular challenging and/or strategic negotiations
• Ensure collaboration with other functions: Supplier Performance Management, Supply Chain, PPM.
Candidate skills & requirements
• With general engineering or business school type training supplemented by significant experience in a purchasing department, you have cross-functional or hierarchical management experience.
• Purchasing experience is highly recommended for this position.
• You are recognized for your autonomy, your capacity for synthesis, strategic vision and your team spirit. You also know how to interface with both operational and also with the managers of your company or your suppliers.
• You have demonstrated your ability to negotiate in a complex international environment.
Salary: $104,600 to $130,700
