Full Job Description
OVERVIEW:

Act as liaison with Strategic Planning Groups and other partners to identify client objectives and other account directives. Take the lead role and oversee junior staff in vendor negotiations and be responsible for creating plan/buy recommendations and presentations.

Knowledge of luxury fashion, jewelry and timepieces is preferred; a specialization in luxury fashion and beauty, along with a passion for innovative brand experiences and custom content.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary contact for the Strategic Planning Group and other partners during development. Create final plan recommendations covering title/partner selection, scheduling, and category and vehicle rationale
  • Oversee print-plan / offline implementation and stewardship, including contracts, space reservations, positioning reports, and related paperwork. Support the Strategic Planning Group in presenting print and or publishing cross-channel opportunities to clients
  • Lead day-to-day campaign implementation based on client objectives and strategy. Participate in pricing, positioning, and added-value negotiations; develop media-company packages and innovative ideas that maximize campaign effectiveness and client value
  • Monitor positioning activity and assist in the negotiation of necessary makegoods
  • Oversee completion of positioning reports
  • Manage development of media company packages to maximize discounts, exposure and overall value to clients
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of client deliverables; monitor ad positioning, assist with makegood negotiations, and oversee the completion of positioning reports
  • Ensure post-buy analyses are completed, and client rebates are generated. Review Prisma estimates and buys monthly and resolve billing discrepancies promptly
  • Provide support to Strategic Planning Group to help sell the use of print to clients
  • Utilize proprietary WPP Media planning tools
  • Manage development of innovative ideas to enhance campaign effectiveness
  • Utilize WPP Media buying tools (e.g: AdMeasure, Media Radar, Vivvix, Clear Decisions, Catalyst)
  • Ensure that junior staff is effectively performing assigned implementation tasks
  • Maintain working knowledge of all client deliverables
  • Ensure that estimates are reviewed monthly, and that billing discrepancies are handled in a timely manner
  • Evaluate new and existing media opportunities for clients
  • Maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external partners
  • Represent WPP Media with the highest possible level of professionalism to both clients and vendors
  • Ensure highest level of innovation delivered for all client campaigns
  • Play key role in training and mentoring of junior staff
  • Continue to develop expertise on the communications industry
  • Keep current with industry news by reading trades, agency publications
  • Assist in departmental/Agency new business efforts

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications; OR equivalent professional work experience
  • 4-6 Years of experience within Media with a focus on Luxury business if possible
  • Excellent analytic and quantitative skills, including proficiency in math
