JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Product Manager in Payments within the Public Sector, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
Job responsibilities
  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Public Sector payment initiatives from strategy through implementation
  • Partner with Product Management to develop and execute the product roadmap and delivery priorities
  • Drive cross-functional execution across Product, Technology, Operations, Sales, and Control functions
  • Establish governance, manage dependencies, and oversee release planning and operational readiness
  • Monitor product performance, client adoption, operational metrics, and delivery outcomes
  • Identify and mitigate delivery, operational, and regulatory risks
  • Provide executive-level reporting, stakeholder management, and strategic recommendations
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance scalability, efficiency, and client experience
  • Develop and mentor high-performing product delivery teams

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or related fields
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Strong knowledge of payments, receivables, and treasury products
  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a regulated environment
  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
  • Experience managing delivery governance, risk, controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to drive results and lead through ambiguity in a highly matrixed organization

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • Public Sector or Government Banking experience
  • Experience leading large-scale product, platform, or transformation programs
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
