JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a high-impact Business Management team supporting the Public Sector Group within Global Corporate Banking and play a pivotal role in optimizing outcomes for a complex, multi-faceted client segment. You’ll collaborate across functions, sharpen your commercial judgement, and help improve how the business runs—through data, reporting, and disciplined execution.

As a Business Management Associate for the Public Sector Group, you will support key initiatives across the Public Sector franchise, including J.P. Morgan’s direct coverage of Public Sector clients, the Development Finance & Advisory function and the Sovereign Advisory function. Collaborate with segment leads and their teams to track progress on growth initiatives and build accurate, impactful management reporting and KPI tracking mechanisms. This role reports to the head of business management for Public Sector & International Funds Banking.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and present data to facilitate decision-making and business progression
  • Coordinate financial management, including pipeline oversight, forecasts, budgets, and expense management
  • Review the competitive landscape and analyze market positions to develop growth strategies
  • Collaborate with product partners, sales teams, and business managers to execute tactical and strategic workstreams that advance business priorities
  • Troubleshoot reporting and data issues, investigating root causes and driving resolution with relevant stakeholders
  • Support the coordination of the client agenda, including client selection, coverage, and performance metrics
  • Influence the production of financial reporting and ad hoc financial analytics.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Public Sector regional and segment leads

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Political Science, or other related fields
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to concisely articulate results and insights to diverse audiences.
  • Team-oriented and flexible, with project ownership skills
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and effective under pressure
  • Ability to structure and build quantitative and qualitative analysis leveraging large datasets
  • Professionalism, discretion, and decision-making skills for interacting with senior executives
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience working with corporate, commercial, or investment banking teams.
  • Understanding of wholesale banking products
  • Interest in Political Science and/or Development Finance
  • Practical fluency with AI-enabled productivity tools to accelerate research, writing, analysis, and stakeholder communications
