The City of Irvine seeks a passionate and motivated individual to join the Irvine Police Department's Records Division as a Public Safety Lead Records Specialist. The Records Bureau is open 7 days per week and shifts operate from 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. This position requires shift work including hours during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Your Impact
  • Provides leadership and guidance to records personnel to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures; explains work procedures and methods; performs or assists with the most complex, difficult, or sensitive duties
  • Observes and strictly enforces security regulations and procedures pertaining to the processing, maintenance and release of highly confidential records and reports.
  • Coordinates the documentation for court cases and prepares statistical data.
  • Daily interactions with the community, police personnel, and City staff to provide accurate information.
  • Operates a variety of databases including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook),OnBase, Motorola, ELETE.
  • Coordinates, administers and monitors mandated Proficiency Testing for all certification levels in NexTest. Ensures all required CLETS forms are maintained and up-to-date for all unescorted access.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in business, secretarial science, computer science or a related field.
  • Two years of clerical or secretarial experience including public safety records management.
  • Any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
