The Basics:

Reporting to our Sr. Director, Corporate Communications, Tanium is seeking a Public Relations Manager to support Tanium's brand awareness in the media and across various social platforms. You must have a strong understanding of the media landscape, with relationships among technology, cybersecurity and Tier 1 press. You are a master storyteller across multiple mediums with passion for Tanium's mission. You thrive in a high-speed, team-oriented atmosphere and can partner across a large, matrixed organization. You are unstoppable in your pursuit of goals, and you always do the right thing.

This is a hybrid position, which will require in person attendance several days each week in one of the following locations: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.

What you'll do:

• Draft and edit communication materials including press releases, blog posts, bylines, award submissions, and corporate and executive social media posts
• Support social media agency with regular direction and detail-oriented content review and oversight
• Spearhead employee social media advocacy efforts and internal social media training and education
• Partner with global PR agencies to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment of corporate messaging
• Support the development of talking points and key messages for the business and Tanium spokespeople
• Spearhead and maintain quarterly PR reporting and measurement and monthly social media reporting
• Maintain foundational program materials, including speaker's bench, team trackers, event recaps, etc.
• Maintain Tanium newsroom and regularly promote coverage wins internally with Tanium employees
• Support press interviews with high quality briefing materials
• Collaborate on creative ways to keep Tanium at the forefront of the industry and positioned as a thought leader

We're looking for someone with:

• Education:
  • BA/BS or equivalent industry experience required
• Experience:
  • 5-8 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Social Media, Strategic Communications, Public Relations or relevant experience required
  • Enterprise tech communications experience required
  • Social media management experience required
  • Strong writing skills required
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape and relationships with respected relationships with press/reporters/media required
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills required
  • Competency with Sprout and/or other social media management platform required
  • Competency with MuckRack, Cision and/or other PR measurement tools required
  • Familiarity with WordPress preferred

What you'll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 to $210,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
