Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Public Affairs Planner - Journeyman to join our team! In this role you will get to contribute to the development of Public Affairs inputs for OPLANs, CONPLANs, campaign plans, and supporting annexes, applying originality and independent judgment to align narrative themes and messaging requirements with commander objectives.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Participates in Joint Planning Process activities and operational planning teams by presenting Public Affairs equities, supporting synchronization of messaging across Public Affairs, Information Operations, Military Information Support Operations, cyberspace operations, space operations, and other information‑related capabilities.

  • Conducts analysis of the information environment to identify relevant trends in public messaging, media narratives, and audience behavior, and contributes findings that inform narrative alignment and communication posture.

  • Supports the development of communication synchronization matrices, narrative frameworks, and media engagement recommendations.

  • Applies working knowledge of Department of Defense authorities, policy, and ethical standards to maintain compliant Public Affairs planning and execution.

  • Contributes to identification of risks associated with adversary exploitation, inaccurate messaging, or misalignment across information functions.

  • Participates in working groups, boards, and planning forums to support assessments of Public Affairs effects and integration with broader OIE and Irregular Warfare assessment processes.

  • Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics by producing timely Public Affairs planning products and supporting coordinated messaging across the designated area of responsibility.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree and 5+ years experience. Years of comparable experience can be used in lieu of degree. (HS diploma 8+ years, Associates 6+ years, Masters 3+ years)
  • Must have a current/activate TS/SCI clearance or higher

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.​

This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.

Salary Range: $63,600.00 - $111,300.00
