Position Overview:Responsible for providing integrative psychotherapy through the modality of using expressive arts therapy with individuals, children and families. Provides comprehensive integrative assessment and counseling support for mental, emotional, social and behavioral issues that arise for patients with chronic or life threatening illness. Assists patients in learning effective tools to cope with stress, grief and loss, and to make healthy behavioral changes. Works in partnership with physicians, other health practitioners and administrative staff on care coordination and treatment planning, and is the principle team resource for all mental health matters. The position also collaborates with the other psychotherapists to implement and sustain best practices in the area of integrative psychotherapy and guided imagery, and to stay abreast of research and best practice in the field of behavioral health and integrative medicine.
Due to continued growth and a commitment to increasing access to care, we are expanding our Behavioral Health team. This full-time position focuses on providing services to youth ages 6-20.
The role offers a hybrid schedule, with flexibility between remote and in-person work (2-3 days onsite and 2-3 days remote per week). The therapist will provide brief, evidence-informed interventions, typically ranging from 4-10 sessions of approximately 60 minutes each.
Key Responsibilities
Provide integrative psychotherapy utilizing expressive arts therapy with children, adolescents, and families
Conduct comprehensive assessments addressing mental, emotional, social, and behavioral needs, particularly for patients with chronic or life-threatening conditions
Offer counseling and support to help patients develop effective coping strategies related to stress, grief, loss, and behavioral change
Collaborate closely with physicians, health practitioners, and administrative staff to support care coordination and treatment planning
Serve as a key mental health resource for the care team
Partner with fellow psychotherapists to implement and sustain best practices in integrative psychotherapy and guided imagery
Stay current with emerging research and best practices in behavioral health and integrative medicine
Job Description:
EDUCATION:- Master's: Degree in a Mental Health discipline
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:- LCSW-Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- OR LMFT-Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
- OR PSY-Psychologist of California
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:- 2 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:- Ability to assess the needs of the patient, provide high quality integrative psychotherapy, guided imagery and other evidenced based approaches as indicated.
- Knowledge of holistic assessment, care plan development and outcomes tracking methods.
- Capacity to work within the integrative medicine model as practiced at the Institute for Health & Healing and in line with most recent research findings regarding behavioral health in the ambulatory care setting.
- Candidate must have desire and ability to work as an active member of an interdisciplinary practice team led by physicians.
- Required to have knowledge of the most recent Board of Behavioral Science requirements and adhere to them.

Pay Range is $118,123.20 to $159,452.80 / annual salary
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
