Overview

This position is Hybrid: will vary based on department needs.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift *Will also include 24/7 crisis coverage as needed.*

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Psychotherapist, under the supervision of a licensed clinician, provides psychotherapeutic services, including intensive mental health services, for a caseload of patients with acutely complex needs. Responsible for assessment, treatment planning and psychotherapy provision to a defined caseload of patients and may also support the facilitation of groups. Employs evidence-based psychological treatment interventions and provides case management services as needed. Services are clinic-based, but some field work is expected, depending on the needs of each individual case. This position works with other team members to support access to overall services and requires registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. The Psychotherapist will be working primarily field-based, but will include some on-site office visits.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 1+ years of clinical experience with children, adolescents, young adults, and/or their families/caregivers. Experience working in a health care setting preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Valid CA Driver's License and proof of insurance required for positions requiring field-based services.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in health care settings and with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Experience with DMH documentation and programs.
  • Demonstrated experience meeting defined clinical expectations, flexibility in adapting to changing clinical environments, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines in coordinating and delivering care.
  • Comfortable working within an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Experience providing intensive mental health services to patients ages 0-21.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychology with previous experience in a child, adolescent, or family mental health setting. American Heart Association BLS certification required. Registration with California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) or as an Associate MFT (AMFT) is required.

Pay Scale Information

$70,304.00-$116,563.00
