Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for our Hartsdale and Peekskill locations. The modal is a hybrid model, with two days in person and three days remote. The salary range for this full-time position is $175,000 - $180,000. Responsibilities: As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Conduct 60-90-minute initial psychiatric evaluations and 30-minute follow-up visits. • Assess patients' mental and physical status, based on the presenting symptoms and complaints. • Diagnose psychiatric disorders and mental health and co-occurring conditions. • Document patients' medical, substance use and psychological histories, physical assessment results, laboratory results, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, or outcomes. • Educate patients and family members about mental health, co-occurring and medical conditions, preventive health measures, medications, or treatment plans. • Prescribing psychotropic medications as allowed by state regulations and collaborative practice agreements. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, peer support staff and nursing staff, to develop, implement, or evaluate treatment plans. • Communicate with outside providers such as hospital, court, child welfare and school staff as appropriate and necessary. • Other duties as assigned.
