Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) required.
• Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) mandatory.
• Current, active, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner license necessary.
• Current DEA registration (can be obtained during hiring process).
• Two years of psychiatric experience preferred; strong new graduates welcome to apply.
• Leadership experience preferred but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychiatric patient care across all age groups as credentialed.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to formulate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Order and interpret lab studies and diagnostic tests as needed.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications; monitor patient outcomes closely.
• Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, and community resources.
• Participate in SNF rounds, offering psychiatric consultations and ongoing care.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record.
