Consult Liaison position combines
onsite psychiatric consultation services in Chattanooga with
remote support for hospitals throughout Tennessee. Working alongside a collaborative team of psychiatrists and Advanced Practice Providers, you'll provide timely psychiatric evaluations, consultation services, and treatment recommendations that help hospitals deliver exceptional behavioral healthcare.

Position Highlights- Full time, 7 on/7 off daytime schedule

What You'll Do- Provide onsite psychiatric consultation and liaison services at our Chattanooga hospital partner
- Deliver remote psychiatric consultations to hospitals across Tennessee using secure telepsychiatry technology
- Evaluate patients and develop evidence based treatment recommendations
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, hospitalists, emergency departments, nursing teams, therapists, and case management
- Support inpatient psychiatric admissions, medical floor consultations, and continuity of behavioral healthcare
- Document encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record
- Build strong relationships with hospital partners through exceptional communication and teamwork
Requirements
Qualifications- Master's or Doctorate from an accredited Advanced Practice Nursing or Physician Assistant program
- Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Physician Assistant with psychiatric experience
- Active or eligible for state licensure in applicable states
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Inpatient psychiatry, behavioral health, emergency psychiatry, hospital medicine, or consult liaison experience preferred
- Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
- Comfortable practicing independently within a collaborative physician led model
- Experience with telepsychiatry is a plus
