Pay Rate:

$129,900-$158,700

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The PS&D Manger (Production, Scheduling, and Distribution) is the lead position in the Production, Scheduling, and Distribution area of the Finished Products Department. This position reports to the Operations Manager. The PS&D Manager will have responsibility for the entire PS&D area operations including Warehouse, Quality, Customer Service, Product Performance, Bale Delivery, Equipment, and People.

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Provide visible and active leadership in delivering excellent safety results
  • Area financial performance to include cost management and annual budgeting, customer satisfaction/product quality, and capital planning
  • Manage in a goal-oriented environment focusing on safety, quality, production, cost, and engagement to achieve targeted performance levels
  • The incumbent has direct management responsibility for inventory, production planning and transportation coordination non-exempt employees
  • Manage and oversee departmental quality processes to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and operational requirements.
  • Daily interfacing between the facility and Memphis to ensure the entire process of producing and shipping finished product flows smoothly and supports the ongoing efficient operation of the mill.
  • Train salaried and hourly employees to develop skills in the department and/or mill
  • Manage product flow and inventory control
  • Maintain strong relationships with other mill leaders as well as operating and maintenance department leaders
  • Support operations through field day/annual outage support and weekend duty assignments when needed
  • Support 5S program for the area and drive improvement projects, audit systems, and excellent results
  • Implement systems to improve/sustain results
  • Fulfill weekend duty team leadership role for assigned department
  • Provide support for budgeting cycle targeted at delivering year over year savings


The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years Paper industry experience.
  • 5+ years in supply chain / logistics
  • Clear record of safety commitment and results
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to groups and individuals at all levels.
  • History of experiences with and use of Manufacturing Excellence tools/concepts also desired.
  • Demonstrated leadership focused on accountability and results.
  • BS Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics or equivalent work experience.
