About the Job You're Considering We are seeking a Telecom Provisioning Engineer with strong OSS/BSS expertise to design, build, and maintain service provisioning solutions. This role will support automation, system integration, and service lifecycle management across complex telecom environments.
Your role - Design, develop, and maintain automated provisioning workflows for telecom services (e.g., broadband, voice, video, enterprise networking).
- Build and enhance integrations between OSS/BSS platforms, network elements, and third-party systems.
- Develop APIs, microservices, and backend components to support provisioning and service orchestration.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical provisioning solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve provisioning failures and system integration issues.
- Collaborate with Network Engineering teams to understand device-level configurations and provisioning requirements.
- Support lifecycle management including activation, modification, suspension, and decommissioning of services.
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and transformation initiatives (e.g., legacy to modern OSS platforms).
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of provisioning systems.
- Contribute to automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Maintain documentation for provisioning logic, workflows, and integrations.
Your skills and experience - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-7+ years of experience in telecom provisioning / OSS development.
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages: Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with REST APIs, Microservices architecture, and system integrations.
- Hands-on experience with OSS/BSS systems and service provisioning platforms.
- Knowledge of telecom protocols and concepts (e.g., IP networking, MPLS, Ethernet, VoIP).
- Experience working with databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $68,911-$161,544.
