OverviewThe Provider Recruiter coordinates /implements the provider recruiting process for all the permanent physicians, APP, and locum searches within Carle. This position is challenged to meet the organizations recruitment and strategic initiative goals, working closely with the candidates and Carle leadership. Active involvement in the recruitment process for all level of providers-permanent physicians, APPs, and locum- from the time a position is opened through the successful placement of a provider.
Responsibilities
- Manages all aspects of the provider recruitment process from early contact with prospective leaders/physicians through hiring.
- Follows organization's recruitment policies and procedures and performs all recruiting activities within the context of legal, economic and political considerations.
- Acts as a consultant to dyad leadership on provider skill mix and requirements. Provides guidance and direction to leadership and candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Utilizes critical thinking and strategy to effectively present Carle as a world-class healthcare organization to the candidates, showcase the community successfully, and help assess candidates' personalities will be a fit within Carle's culture and also, the department. Plans, develops, and directs strategic provider recruitment strategies.
- Responsible for planning in accordance with the needs and goals of the organization.
- Develops improvements to staffing processes like sourcing and selection to make recommendations on recruitment strategies.
- Attends and collaborates in team meetings, departmental meetings, various committees, Medical Group physician meetings-as needed and other meetings as they arise. Recommends, coordinates, and attends recruitment dinners, meetings, and various events.
- Attends various professional meetings and involved in local community events to ensure visibility and up to date knowledge.
- Conducts telephone interviews using excellent listening and questioning skills during the process to build applicant interest and determine candidate fit with position and behavioral expectations.
- Writes up a brief summary of candidate information not documented in their resume/C.V. and presents to leadership for consideration.
- Acts as a liaison to candidates and leadership within the organization and community, such as administrators, referring physicians, realtors, school administrators, potential employers for spouse/significant others, etc.
- Works closely with leadership to evaluate candidates and ultimately make recommendations for hire based on a keen working knowledge of the opportunity and the organizational fit of the candidate.
- Collaborates with facility/entity leadership teams and leadership to determine candidate needs and vacancies.
- Outlines details related to the recruitment opportunities in preparation for a proactive recruitment strategy.
- Attends recruitment meetings with leadership to provide updates on current recruitment activity and to strategize on hard-to-recruit-for positions and upcoming recruits.
- Maintains in depth working knowledge and understanding of provider candidate pool, as well as national trends affecting them and healthcare organizations.
- Identifies opportunities for marketing development based on the quality of candidates.
- Recognizes locations and specialties that are difficult to recruit.
- Coordinates with recruitment staff to develop and implement a sourcing plan that aligns with recruitment strategy to ensure to target a qualified candidate pool.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date tracking of all opportunities and candidates' status through applicant tracking system and tracking tools.
- Organizes and participates in appropriate conventions, specialty meetings, and job fairs for provider recruitment. Some travel required.
- Engages parties from operations and leadership to plan, implement, and continually evaluate coordination of site visits and candidate interviews.
- Openly receives feedback and opportunities to improve and streamline processes and procedures.
- Possesses an executive presence by exhibiting energy, excitement, enthusiasm and courage.
- Builds and maintains credibility and trust through visibility, including effectively communicating with and influencing a variety of audiences.
Qualifications
Certifications: Driver's License - Illinois Secretary of State (ILSOS), Education: Bachelor's Degree: Related Field; Bachelor's Degree: Marketing; Bachelor's Degree: Healthcare Administration,
Work Experience:
- Previous experience in recruiting, marketing, personnel, or related activities preferred. Understanding of healthcare and medical environment is helpful. Some computer experience preferred.
Salary RangeThe compensation range for this position is $33.38per hour - $57.41per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
