Job descriptionWe are looking for an experienced Protective Services Manager to join a leading global technology and entertainment company supporting executive security operations. Based onsite in Los Angeles, this role is dedicated to enhancing the safety, security, and operational effectiveness of the organization's protective services. The Protective Services Manager is responsible for the tactical execution and day-to-day management of global protective operations, serving as the central coordination point between internal stakeholders, executive support teams, and external security partners. This individual will translate executive-level strategy into scalable, standardized, and localized security solutions.
The Protective Services Manager will oversee advance planning, site assessments, travel coordination, operational readiness, and program administration while developing the frameworks, processes, and standards that enable the team to operate effectively. This position is
notresponsible for serving as a primary Executive Protection Agent, but instead focuses on leading and optimizing protective operations through strategic planning, operational oversight, and cross-functional coordination.
This is a full-time, onsite position offering a comprehensive benefits package. Travel of approximately 25% will be required to support executive travel, advance work, and operational planning.
Essential Job Functions- Operational Planning & Execution: Support Client's Protective Services Senior Manager in the design, documentation, and execution of comprehensive protective service operations that effectively mitigate risk while preserving executive lifestyle, discretion, and uninterrupted business continuity.
- Advance Operations: Lead and conduct thorough physical and digital advance work for executive travel, high-profile events, and daily activities. Perform risk-based site assessments and develop tailored mitigation strategies to address environmental, logistical, and threat-specific considerations.
- Executive Travel & Operations Support: Travel with senior executives to support discreet, professional, and highly coordinated protective operations adapting in real time to evolving schedules, locations, and operational demands across domestic and international environments.
- Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a central liaison between executive administrative teams, Enterprise Security, Workplace Operations, Corporate Transportation and Aviation, law enforcement, and approved third-party partners to ensure cohesive planning, clear communication, and a consistently high-quality service experience.
- Protective Intelligence & Threat Mitigation: Monitor, analyze, and apply protective intelligence to identify emerging risks and threat indicators. Translate intelligence insights into actionable operational adjustments to proactively safeguard executives in dynamic and high-risk environments.
- Program Metrics, Reporting, & Continuous Improvement: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), service-level metrics, and operational outcomes. Provide regular reporting to leadership to evaluate program effectiveness, optimize resource allocation, and drive continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making.
- Vendor Selection & Performance Management: Support the selection, onboarding, and ongoing performance management of global security vendors, ensuring adherence to Client's standards for conduct, compliance, confidentiality, and operational excellence.
Required Skills and Experience- 5+ years of executive protection, protective operations, or corporate security experience.
- Experience supporting C-suite executives or high-profile individuals.
- Demonstrated experience conducting advance work and operational planning for executive travel and events.
- Strong understanding of protective intelligence, threat assessments, and risk mitigation.
- Experience coordinating with law enforcement, aviation, transportation, workplace operations, and executive support teams.
- Experience managing third-party security vendors and contract security programs.
- Experience supporting global executive protection operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to create clear operational documentation, develop procedures and reports, and effectively communicate with executive stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain discretion while handling highly confidential information.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.
$120,000 - $140,000 a year
