The RoleMach Industries is seeking Mechanical Design Engineers to join our revolutionary new division, Mach Propulsion. We're developing a high-performance small turbine engine from the ground up, designed for scalable, high-rate manufacturing. This is a unique opportunity to apply your experience to a first-of-its-kind propulsion system. We're looking for engineers with foundational experience in propulsion, drivetrain systems, or rotating machinery who are excited to solve complex engineering problems in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design turbojet engine components and subsystems using Siemens NX, leveraging tools such as CAD, CFD, and FEA. Produce 3D models and 2D drawings optimized for manufacturing and performance.
- Full Lifecycle Ownership: Participate in concept generation, trade studies, prototyping, testing, and iteration. Engage directly with test teams to validate your hardware.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fabrication, machining, test, and engineering teams to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of components.
Required Qualifications - BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 1+ years of mechanical engineering experience in propulsion, powertrain, or mechanical assemblies involving high-speed rotating hardware.
- Proficient in Siemens NX and familiar with PLM tools like Teamcenter.
- Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 for tolerance control and manufacturability.
- Strong base in structures, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with prototyping and testing; comfortable in lab and shop environments.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience designing or developing turbomachinery, small turbine engines, or air-breathing propulsion systems.
- Familiarity with high-rate manufacturing methods and strong understanding of DFM principles.
- Exposure to advanced materials such as composites and high-temperature alloys in propulsion environments.
- Experience supporting or leading test rig design, component integration, or validation of hardware.
- Understanding of defense or aerospace regulations and qualification processes.
