Property Manager
Mid-Sized Property Management Company | New York City
Role & Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of luxury residential and mixed-use properties throughout Manhattan, Downtown Brooklyn, and Western Queens.
- Build strong relationships with tenants by responding to questions, concerns, and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance, apartment turnovers, and capital improvement projects with vendors and building staff.
- Partner closely with Superintendents, Porters, contractors, and vendors to ensure buildings are operating efficiently.
- Conduct regular property inspections and follow up on outstanding maintenance, safety, and operational items.
- Monitor building violations and coordinate resolutions with the Department of Buildings (DOB), HPD, DEP, ECB, and other New York City agencies.
- Assist with inventory management and procurement of building materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate property records, work orders, vendor documentation, and operational reports.
- Support senior leadership with ongoing operational initiatives and special projects.
- Ensure a high level of customer service while maintaining the physical condition and appearance of each property.
Qualifications- 4+ years of residential property management experience within New York City (6+ years preferred).
- Current experience managing residential properties.
- Experience using AppFolio is required.
- Strong tenant relations and customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of NYC building operations, compliance, and regulatory agencies, including DOB, HPD, DEP, and ECB.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Team-oriented, hands-on, and willing to roll up your sleeves to solve problems.
Compensation & Benefits- Base Salary: $80,000-$90,000, depending on experience
