Full Job Description
General Summary

Responsible for maintaining the overall Timecard, Job Cost, and Project Management systems in conformance with established policies, procedures, & standards to manage effectively and proactively, control, and report on cost and schedule for concurrent projects throughout Granite and its subsidiaries.

This position may work from various Granite office locations on the west coast.

Essential Job Accountabilities
  • Administer and manage essential project data system configuration from project startup to closeout, to maintain accurate cost history and reporting for self-performed construction operations
  • Maintain and provide functional documentation and support management for the implementation and maintenance of field system control processes
  • Analyze and maintain project document and data management systems to ensure accuracy and conformance to established project requirements
  • Collect critical job performance data (e.g., expended labor hours, installed asphalt volume, subcontract work installed, etc.) and perform non-technical quality checks on system administration, control processes, and system documentation to ensure accuracy of data
  • Integrate cost, document, and schedule data and reporting with the company's accounting and management information systems to facilitate meeting company's performance and financial goals
  • Identify and track project management data using standard systems to provide visibility to cost and schedule changes.
  • Develop and maintain process manual (containing Standard Operating Procedures and Process Narratives) to ensure consistent tracking of all in-process projects
  • Perform internal communication and training with all levels of users across the company to support field operations.


Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business (or comparable discipline) or equivalent combination of training and experience


Work Experience
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a related position


Knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI, etc.)
  • HeavyJob, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and JD Edwards (Enterprise One) experience preferred
  • Ability to learn new software quickly
  • Ability to manage web-based construction field systems
  • Ability to work in a high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of construction industry
  • Good written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with close attention to detail
  • Initiative-taker; able to seek out resources and structure own workflow
  • Ability to work well with all levels of staff, as well as external customers

Base Salary Range:
$83,971.00 - $125,957.00
Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
