Job Responsibilities:
The Sr. Survey Manager will work directly under the direction of the Department Manager. This is a full-time, exempt, position.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Communicate effectively with clients, staff and company management.
- Maintain project documentation and files.
- Establish and maintain excellent client relations.
- Plan, manage and execute multiple projects concurrently.
- Manage deadlines to ensure that a high-quality deliverable is produced on time and within budget.
- Prepare or direct preparation of client deliverables and ensure the QA/QC process has been followed.
- Direct and supervise staff in the office regarding project requirements.
- Prepare scopes of work and prepare fee estimates for projects.
- Maintaining thorough understanding of state and local regulations related to surveying.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficient in calculation of right-of-way and parcel boundaries.
- 10 or more years of experience in land surveying and mapping projects preferred, also in engineering projects desired.
- 2 or more years of experience managing land surveying projects for public sector clients.
- Proficient in use of Bluebeam or Adobe PDF editing, use of spreadsheets, use of Google Earth KMZ files or equivalent, CAD drafting experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills together with a proven track record of working effectively with internal teams and external clients.
- Experience working successfully to meet deadlines, able to handle multiple tasks and efficiently respond to changing client priorities.
- Experience dealing directly with clients and formal management of projects.
- Experience with right-of-way plans and legal description preparation desired.
Required Certifications:
- Licensure as a WA State Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)
Desired Certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
