Project Survey Manager

Department: Survey/Geomatics

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Reno, NV

Reporting To: Rob Anderson

Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Survey Manager to join our growing team in Reno, Nevada.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Preparing survey proposals and managing budgets.
  • Leads and manages field survey crews on various projects including boundary, topographic, construction, and control surveys.
  • Maintains staff schedules and deliverables.
  • Prepares accurate, complete, and value-added work products and perform complex survey computations.
  • Perform construction staking calculations.
  • Analyze and review work of survey crews and technicians.
  • Responsible for reducing field data utilizing field codes and stringing (field to office data collection).
  • Prepares cut sheets.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Interpret design plans for construction staking calculations and coordinates with engineering staff to ensure proper interpretation.
  • Analyzes title reports and legal descriptions along with necessary map and deed research.
  • Leads boundary analysis.
  • Prepares plats and legal descriptions.
  • Prepares Tentative Maps, Parcel Maps, Final Maps, Record of Survey and ALTA Maps.
  • Works closely with Director of Surveying, Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers to obtain project information and ensure drawings are accurate and complete.


Requirements
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license
  • Proven experience in land surveying, with 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Trimble
  • Strong data analysis skills for interpreting survey data accurately
  • Strong understanding of surveying principles, methods, and legal requirements.
