Position Summary

The Project Superintendent II is responsible for overseeing all phases of commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications. This position requires exceptional leadership, communication, and technical expertise to manage subcontractors, coordinate site operations, and maintain superior quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the senior on-site representative for owners, architects, engineers, and key stakeholders, maintaining high-level communication and project visibility.
  • Lead project planning and execution, including development and management of comprehensive schedules, critical path analysis, and proactive resource allocation.
  • Oversee project safety programs, enforce compliance with OSHA and company standards, and foster a culture of proactive safety leadership.
  • Direct and mentor on-site teams, including subcontractors, foremen, and junior superintendents, ensuring accountability, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship.
  • Provide strategic oversight of field operations, including logistics, quality assurance, workforce management, and site coordination across multiple trades.
  • Act as principal liaison with regulatory agencies, handling inspections, permitting, and compliance for all project phases.
  • Drive cost control measures, manage General Conditions and Requirements, and oversee project budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
  • Lead the billing and documentation process, including monthly estimates, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
  • Ensure all work aligns with design intent, contract documents, and company quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Estimating and Preconstruction teams to optimize constructability, schedule feasibility, and project efficiency.
  • Promote a professional, organized, and safe job site environment that reflects the company's values and reputation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered for exceptional candidates.
  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience, with extensive background in large-scale interior renovations, commercial upfits, and MEP-intensive projects.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multiple projects, high-performing teams, and complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Advanced ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents with precision.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic project planning.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
  • Flexible to work nights and weekends as project demands require.
  • Experience managing projects in occupied or sensitive environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Procore.
  • OSHA certification required; additional safety leadership credentials preferred
