Full Job Description
GLG is seeking a Project Specialist to manage the creation and execution of our "live" qualitative engagements including focus groups, advisory boards, workshops, online discussion boards, in-depth interviews, site visits, product/UX labs, and more.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Account Managers, Business Development, Service, and Research teams to pitch, scope, and win new engagements for our clients, focus groups, advisory boards, workshops, online discussion boards, in-depth interviews, site visits, product/UX labs, and more
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients and experts, delivering best-in-class customer service and confident interpersonal interaction
  • Comfortable operating in a phone-first environment, ready to pick up the phone to scope engagements, solve urgent issues, and deliver for clients, experts, and teammates in real time
  • Lead client intake and project scoping conversations where appropriate
  • Manage multiple projects with tight timelines while prioritizing and multi-tasking to ensure important deadlines are met
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding research content, Councils, and client information
  • Review and synthesize qualitative findings deliverables for clients when necessary
  • Manage the operations of multiple complex projects, including but not limited to:
    • Oversee a large portfolio of engagements (many multi-participant, multi-part series)
    • Schedule all engagement participants, including project status communications, itinerary confirmations, travel, and more
    • Manage budgets and financials with emphasis on project-based profitability, including expert fee negotiation and venue/vendor negotiations
    • Source and manage remote vendors or location-based venues
    • Draft legal documentation including work statements, project terms, and other collateral
    • Arrange travel for experts where necessary
    • Monitor projects remotely or in-person to troubleshoot potential issues
    • Deliver quality project output across various platforms
    • Maintain data entry and system management with a high degree of accuracy
    • Conduct post-project client feedback sessions


WHO YOU ARE, REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 2-4+ years of experience in a client-facing, service-oriented, or project management role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident, professional, and polished with clients at all levels
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping details sharp and deadlines met
  • Ownership mindset: you take accountability, follow through on commitments, and proactively identify problems that need solving
  • Natural problem-solver who adapts quickly in dynamic, deadline-driven environments
  • Comfortable collaborating across internal teams in a high-throughput, process-oriented setting


EVEN BETTER IF YOU BRING
  • Experience in market research, event management, or qualitative project management
  • Hands-on exposure to qualitative methodologies, focus groups, IDIs, online discussion boards, UX/product labs
  • Familiarity with project budgeting, vendor negotiations, or operational logistics
  • An analytical mindset and comfort supporting the synthesis or review of qualitative findings
  • Experience engaging with global stakeholders across US, EMEA, or APAC
  • Industry knowledge in Technology, Payments, Life Sciences, or Industrials

Compensation: GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is:

$86,000-$90,000 USD
