Full Job Description
Manifest Solutions is partnered with a regional energy partner with ongoing needs for Project Scheduler professionals.
  • Responsible for supporting the Project Managers (PMs) and scheduling project activities. With minimal supervision, perform role as scheduler and/or commodity tracker for major projects.
  • Support the development and analysis of a wide range of scopes of work types, especially complex schedules using the assigned system.
  • Must be self-motivated, an excellent communicator, and team focused individual able to demonstrate competency in scheduling techniques and analyses on all scope of work aspects.
  • Additional duties include schedule maintenance, collecting progress data, developing and implementing scope of work schedule/status reports, and providing consistent, accurate information to the senior management team.
  • Must be able to interface with site execution teams, contractors, and senior management.
  • De?ne activities, durations, work sequences, and relationship logic to develop and implement the scope of work plan and develop milestones to represent key decisions and deliverables that take place during execution.
  • Ensure all logic and activities support the level of detail required by the customer and meet internal department standards and guidance.
  • Ensure all scope and deliverables are accounted for.
  • Develop fully integrated system schedules (including resource loading and leveling) for complex and intermediate scope of work execution teams including detailed system schedules that utilize critical path methodology based on work scope from the work packages and planners work list.
  • Mentor and assist junior schedulers in organizing schedule review meetings with all stakeholders and incorporate appropriate details.
  • Ensure clear minutes and action items, as required.
  • Engage teams and stakeholders to create schedules and provide schedule analysis updates to teams, alerting them to schedule risks and issues that could delay milestones.
  • Apply applicable project management standards and governance requirements. Support system administration activities such as security, pro?les, and role setup for new users as required.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with scope of work schedules.
  • Mentor and train junior level schedulers on the following: preparing and analyzing metric reports; preparing and analyzing schedule risk; developing what-if schedules to address various scenarios and options as necessary; crashing scope of work schedule durations; following processes and handbook procedures; and all aspects of scheduling within the assigned systems and software.
  • Perform/coordinate schedule and cost integration including SPI/CPI processes on a scope of work basis.
  • Work with the project teams to provide risk assessments and recommend mitigation actions as requested.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Quali?ed degrees must be in a related ?eld from an accredited university or college and could include Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Technology, or Project Management.
  • With a High School Diploma or GED, 7 years' quali?ed experience (Note: For Cook Nuclear Plant, 7 years of nuclear experience will su?ce and a professional or trade certi?cation is not required).
  • With a quali?ed associate's degree, 5 years' quali?ed experience.
  • With a quali?ed bachelor's degree, 3 years' quali?ed experience required.
  • Quali?ed experience includes utility speci?c operations knowledge/experience with a good working knowledge of work processes and procedures.
  • Experience should be in design, operations, planning, project management, cost tracking analysis, forecasting, project budgets, working with accounting principles, and/or construction or maintenance of systems and/or equipment.
  • A professional or trade certi?cation such as a CCMP, CETa, IQCP, PMP, RMP, etc. is required for candidates possessing only a high school diploma or a non-quali?ed higher education degree. Otherwise, a certi?cation is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage time e?ectively and e?ciently; show capacity for organizational and planning skills; as well as having an aptitude for accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to achieve goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with ability to work and collaborate well with others.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft O?ce tools and ability to develop complex spreadsheets.
  • Some travel, including overnight, may be required. On rare occasions, temporary relocation might be required to complete projects.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual and able to work under general supervision, be independent, and competently perform current scheduling techniques and analyses on all scope of work project aspects.
  • Must be available to work overtime, call-out overtime and shift work, as required.
  • Pro?cient at reviewing scope, client requirements, division of responsibility, scope of work objectives and constraints to develop the strategy for e?ective project delivery.
