Position: Project/Program Manager IT

Schedule: Mon-Fri | 1st Shift
Compensation: $57 - $59/hr
Summary:

We are seeking a high-impact Senior Project/Program Manager to support Caterpillar's Cat Digital team, driving visibility, alignment, and execution across software development initiatives.

This role is highly focused on executive communication, storytelling, and cross-functional coordination within a fast-paced, AI-driven environment.

You'll work closely with engineering, product, and analytics teams to translate complex technical work into clear, decision-ready insights for leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Gather updates from development teams on timelines, risks, and priorities
• Translate technical progress into clear, executive-level communications
• Build professional slide decks and reporting materials for leadership
• Track roadmaps, risks, and dependencies across multiple applications
• Manage backlog visibility and workflows using Azure DevOps
• Identify delays, blockers, and key risks impacting delivery
• Report KPIs and performance metrics to stakeholders
• Align cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and leadership
• Create structured narratives around software and AI initiatives
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree 5 + years of experience
• Experience in software development environments (SDLC / CI-CD)
• Strong communication and executive presentation skills
• Experience with Microsoft tools (PowerPoint, Excel)
• Experience working cross-functionally with technical teams
• Strong ability to synthesize and communicate complex information
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Power BI, SQL, or Python exposure
• Background in AI, digital platforms, or software development organizations
• Strong storytelling and data visualization skills
