This position will report to the newly hired Facilities Technology & Space Planning Mgr.
Occasional travel may be required to support facilities, project sites, storm response and business operations across the service territory.
JOB SUMMARY:The Facilities Technology Project Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership, governance, and is the strategic owner of Facilities business systems, data, analytics, and technology initiatives responsible for making Facilities more data-driven, efficient, customer-focused, integrated, and technology-enabled. This position serves as the business owner for ARCHIBUS and related Facilities Technology platforms, ensuring systems, processes, and data support organizational goals and align with the Facilities Technology Roadmap.
This role is responsible for driving technology innovation through system integrations, data analytics, business intelligence reporting, process automation, and emerging technology solutions that improve asset lifecycle management, inventory management, space utilization, operational efficiency, and decision-making capabilities. The Project Manager will collaborate across Facilities, Technology Organization (TO), Supply Chain, Finance, Security, Real Estate, and Operations to deliver scalable technology solutions and enterprise-wide process improvements.
The position supports Facilities personnel by developing and implementing technology strategies that enhance operational effectiveness, improve data integrity and governance, optimize facility assets, and provide executive leaders with actionable dashboards and performance metrics to support strategic business decisions.
The position also drives customer-focused technology solutions that simplify processes, improve service delivery, and create measurable value for employees, business partners, and leadership.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:(Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills)
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Facilities Management, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of project/program management, facilities technology, information systems, or related experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise software platforms, technology implementations, and system integrations.
- Experience with Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), ARCHIBUS, or similar platforms preferred.
- Strong understanding of facilities operations, asset management, inventory management, and space planning concepts.
- Experience developing strategic technology roadmaps and managing multiple concurrent projects or programs.
- Knowledge of building systems including Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS), security systems, access control, and facility infrastructure technologies.
- Knowledge of audio-visual systems integration and associated technologies.
- Experience developing dashboards, business intelligence reporting, and performance analytics.
- Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, software contracts, and service agreements.
- Proven ability to lead change management initiatives and drive user adoption of technology solutions.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, data governance, and technology compliance principles.
- Experience managing capital and operating budgets and developing business cases for technology investments.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Facilities Technology Strategy & Governance- Serve as the primary business owner and governance lead for ARCHIBUS and related Facilities Technology platforms.
- Develop, maintain, and execute the Facilities Technology Roadmap to align with organizational objectives and business priorities.
- Establish technology standards, governance practices, data management strategies, and system administration procedures.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices to support digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead long-term planning efforts related to Facilities Technology investments and platform enhancements.
- Assist with developing and maintaining a multi-year technology roadmap strategy supporting Facilities.
- Establish technology investment priorities and governance processes to maximize business value and return on investment.
- Develop technology KPIs and maturity metrics to measure progress against strategic objectives.
- Drive strategic alignment across all Facilities technology platforms and business processes.
Technology Systems & Integration- Lead integration efforts between ARCHIBUS and enterprise systems including ERP, HR, GIS, asset management, procurement, work order management, and business intelligence platforms.
- Ensure system performance, configuration management, data integrity, user adoption, and continuous improvement of Facilities Technology solutions.
- Partner with Technology Organization teams to support infrastructure, network connectivity, cybersecurity, and cloud-based solutions.
- Coordinate technology requirements for facility construction, renovation, relocation, and modernization programs.
Asset Lifecycle, Inventory & Space Management- Lead strategic initiatives supporting asset lifecycle management from acquisition through retirement.
- Oversee inventory management technologies supporting warehouse operations, asset tracking, replenishment processes, and forecasting activities.
- Support enterprise space planning, occupancy analytics, move management, and workplace optimization initiatives.
- Develop solutions that improve asset utilization, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Business Intelligence, Analytics & Reporting- Develop and maintain executive dashboards, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for Facilities Operations.
- Establish analytics and reporting frameworks that enable data-driven decision-making.
- Provide visibility into:
- Capital project performance. (requires business case for integration with Oracle)
- Maintenance metrics and operational performance.
- Space utilization and occupancy trends.
- Inventory levels and warehouse operations. (requires business case for asset management module)
- Support and create asset management strategies that optimize total cost of ownership, reliability, lifecycle planning, and capital investment prioritization.
- Service request performance.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through advanced analytics and predictive modeling
- Develop executive scorecards tied to organizational performance objectives.
- Sustainability and energy performance metrics. (requires business case for additional module)
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes through workflow automation, AI technologies, system integrations, and other business intelligence tool.
Project Management & Operational Excellence- Lead multiple Facilities Technology projects from concept development through implementation and project closeout.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk assessments, and communication strategies.
- Manage testing, commissioning, deployment, and user acceptance activities.
- Identify and implement opportunities for business process automation and workflow improvements.
- Establish standard operating procedures, system documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Benchmark Facilities performance against internal and industry best practices.
- Develop communication, training, and adoption strategies that support successful implementation of Facilities technology initiatives
Stakeholder, Vendor & Financial Management- Collaborate with Facilities, Technology Organization, Finance, Supply Chain, Security, Real Estate, and Operations organizations across GAS, GPC and SCS to develop integrated business solutions. Additional collaboration with partners at APC and MPC.
- Manage vendor relationships, software licensing agreements, contracts, and service-level agreements.
- Lead requirements gathering, business process reviews, training, and change management efforts.
- Develop business cases and funding requests for technology investments.
- Manage project budgets and ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and according to scope.
Strategic Outcomes- Maximize the organizational value and utilization of ARCHIBUS and related Facilities Technology platforms.
- Partner with business leaders to drive stakeholder engagement and sustainable adoption of new processes.
- Improve data quality, reporting consistency, and executive visibility into Facilities operations.
- Increase utilization of enterprise facilities data to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
- Reduce administrative effort through automation and streamlined business processes.
- Improve organizational agility by creating scalable and integrated technology solutions.
- Enhance asset lifecycle planning and capital investment decision-making.
