This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Project Manager for our Chicago, IL office. Be involved in projects with our Construction Management team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact

The Project Manager will work on transportation infrastructure construction projects. Responsibilities include:
  • Manage projects simultaneously, ranging from small renovations to large-scale new facilities.
  • Provide overall site management, coordination, and planning for subcontractors and developers.
  • Verifying that quality standards and project deadlines are met.
  • Driving and ensuring contractor deliverables are met.
  • Provide staff mentoring.
  • Review reports, payroll certifications and other labor documentation from the contractor.
  • Perform review of Contractor's schedules, Baseline and updates, in coordination with client requirements.
  • Maintenance quantities logs. Response to RFI's, Submittals, Review of change orders and issuance of recommendations.
  • Maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Construction contract administration, including pay requisitions, change orders, and correspondence from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Ability to chair site meetings with the contractor, client and other stakeholders, and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Direct coordination with the client's Project Representatives.
  • Providing regular status reports to Construction Services Department Manager.
  • Providing overall leadership to the construction services business in Illinois and neighboring states as the practice grows, and ultimately expanding our delivery of professional construction services to both public and private clients.
  • Directing all operations related to project performance; business development; market expansion; and industry leadership.
  • Identifying growth opportunities through new and existing markets and clients and the hiring of staff to acquire the necessary skills and drive growth initiatives
  • Managing Construction Services contracts through the assignment of professional Project Managers, Resident Engineers, Inspectors and other project technical resources allocated to the group to efficiently and effectively deliver projects to meet client expectations and project profitability.
  • Maintaining and developing key relationships with public and private clients, including teaming partners.
  • Managing technical non-billable time for the most effective outcomes in accordance with plan targets.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or Masters in Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction project management
  • Experience with Illinois Tollway, Chicago Department of Transportation, Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT)
  • eBuilder experience is preferred.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain
  • Excellent English language skills, written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel) etc.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $157,410 - $192,390

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
