Full Job Description
Velocity Flow Technology Corporation is seeking a highly organized Project Manager who will be responsible for leading customer and strategic internal projects from order release through final installation and commissioning, ensuring successful execution across all phases of engineering, manufacturing, automation integration, quality, vendor coordination, and field installation.

This role serves as a key cross-functional leader, driving collaboration, communication, and alignment across departments to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the quality standards expected by customers. Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, the Project Manager also supports corporate initiatives and product development efforts that contribute to the company's operational excellence and long-term growth. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving, technical understanding, and the ability to build trusted relationships in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Project Execution & Coordination - manage projects from official customer order release through installation and final customer acceptance.
  • Customer & Vendor Management - serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution and ensure customer expectations are properly executed.
  • Engineering, Manufacturing & Quality Support - coordinate with automation and controls teams to ensure software, integration, and commissioning milestones are met.
  • Financial & Schedule Management - Maintain accurate project documentation, escalate critical issues and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement - Help improve project management processes, reporting structures, and execution standards.
  • Corporate Initiatives & Strategic Projects - Lead major cross-functional corporate initiatives as assigned by executive leadership.
  • New Product Project Management - Coordinate collaboration between engineering, automation, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and sales teams during product development activities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or other equivalent experience.
  • Seven or more years of project management experience in industrial manufacturing automation, capital equipment, material handling, or related industries.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects involving engineering, fabrication, controls/automation, and field installation.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training is preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and new product development is preferred.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships across departments and with external partners while fostering a collaborative team environment.


This is position requires working Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.

There is no relocation package with this job. Candidate must live within 30 miles of Salina location.
