Position Summary:

The Project Manager - Uptime serves as a subject matter expert (SME) in commercial fleet equipment, playing a critical role in diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues across Penske's fleet while evaluating and validating emerging technologies and products. This position is responsible for identifying root causes of recurring equipment challenges - including specification misalignment, OEM component failures, elevated maintenance costs, and increased labor requirements. The Project Manager's involvement in new products will be focused on the maintenance department's interaction of the technology; IE techs and support roles. The ultimate outcomes of this position are to deliver value-added equipment solutions to the customer, improve repair efficiency, reduce vehicle downtime, and lower total maintenance costs.

Major Responsibilities:
• Lead structured root cause analysis on fleet equipment issues and develop corrective action plans to drive resolution
• Evaluate emerging technologies and products through hands-on testing, providing data-supported recommendations for potential fleet adoption to improve Customer Experience
• Identify gaps in existing maintenance processes and develop standardized procedures that improve repair efficiency
• Design and implement proactive repair strategies aimed at minimizing vehicle downtime and improving overall fleet availability
• Other projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications
