Summary The project manager plans and organizes all architectural and engineering functions specific to each project, coordinates interaction between project teams and clients, and provides guidance on technical resource loading. The successful candidate must have a strong design discipline background along with experience managing architectural and engineering/design projects in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industries. This position reports directly to the Director of Project Management.
Key Responsibilities Responsible for the project management of small to mid-sized projects or designated portions of a larger projects:
- Establish project budgets, prepare proposals, and develop and maintain positive client relationships.
- Develop and maintain project resource plans.
- Develop and successfully manage project execution plans including definition of scope, schedule, communication tools, software tools, deliverable distribution lists.
- Proactively report and present project status to internal and external stakeholders.
- Successfully manage change on projects.
- Collaborate with the regional quality manager in the development of project specific quality plans.
- Properly identify and assess project risks and escalate to senior leadership as appropriate.
- Create and meet all project milestones and financial commitments
Skills & Qualifications - A Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, Structural Engineering or architecture.
- Has experience in the design of biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and laboratories.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional, multi-discipline teams Proficiency in standard PM tools and templates including MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
