About the Role:As a Project Manager you will serve as the central driver for capital and maintenance projects, navigating them from initial concept through to final commissioning. This role functions as a technical and operational bridge, where you will manage multi-disciplinary engineering efforts, oversee vendor selections, and ensure high-level design compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. By balancing budget oversight with hands-on coordination of stakeholders and contractors, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and expansion of a premier food production facility.
Here's a glimpse into your day to day:- Oversight, coordination and execution of capital and maintenance projects from inception to turnover to user groups, including project scoping, preliminary and detailed design and review, CAPEX document development and approval, construction/installation, commissioning, startup and qualification.
- Design oversight and compliance with industry practices and guidelines.
- Management and successful execution of multiple projects using client procedures and industry best practices to the agreed upon scope, schedule, budget and technical quality.
- Coordinate all technical activities on assigned projects. Responsible for having an awareness of and ability to recognize technical problems.
- Oversight of design packages and specifications, RFPs, design review, vendor/contractor selection, constructability reviews, approval of submittals, and preparation and oversight of validation and regulatory submissions.
- Monitors project budgets and schedules for trends/compliance to budget and prepare periodic reports.
- Coordinate reviews and checking of engineering deliverables.
- Coordinate the efforts of engineering support groups and external resources such as vendors, consultants and contractors.
- Conduct project meetings and effective communications with user group and project stake holders.
- Prepare detailed project cost estimates and schedules
- Oversight of engineering calculations and analysis related to process design and equipment selections.
You'll be a perfect fit if you have:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering in mechanical, electrical, structural or similar disciplines.
- Minimum (10) yrs. experience as a Project Manager/Engineer within the industrial manufacturing market sectors including Food/Beverage, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Power Generation, etc.
- Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of design and regulatory Codes and USDA Standards
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Compensation and Benefits:- Pay: $125,000-140,000 annually (depending on experience)
