Full Job Description
As Project Manager for our Service & Rehabilitation (SR) division, you will be the primary lead for complex, high-stakes modernization projects across the regional hydropower fleet. You will oversee the entire project lifecycle-from contract handover and engineering to site installation and final commissioning. Your goal is to breathe new life into aging infrastructure, ensuring our customers' assets operate with maximum efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of brownfield rehabilitation projects, including turbine overhauls, generator rewinds, and control system upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (MS Project or Primavera P6). Proactively manage critical paths and resource allocation to meet strict outage windows.
  • Manage project P&L, including budget forecasting, cost control, and change order negotiations to ensure target margins are achieved.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for utility owners, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams.
  • Enforce rigorous HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and quality assurance protocols at project sites.
  • Identify technical and commercial risks early in the project lifecycle and implement robust mitigation strategies.


Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business and/or Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Project management experience within the power generation sector, with preferrable focus on hydropower service or rehabilitation.
  • Understanding of hydropower components (Francis/Kaplan/Pelton turbines, governors, excitation systems, and balance of plant).
  • Proficiency in managing complex site installation and/or equipment-only contracts, including familiarity with liquidated damages and warranty terms.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment, across multiple time zones.


Preferred Attributes
  • Experience working directly for a hydropower Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
  • Fluency in specialized project management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Contruent).
  • Willingness to travel to remote project sites for kick-off meetings and critical installation phases (approx. 15-25%).
