  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, design standards, and codes.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of engineering reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff as needed.

Overview

The Project Manager supportsthe delivery of public infrastructure and civil engineering projects through direct technical involvement. This role will work across multiple sectors to meet project demands and ensure timely, high-quality project execution. The Project Manager works closely with their counterpart to ensure high-quality project execution. This individual will serve as a technical resource, providing oversight on design, permitting, and construction services for civil and municipal projects while also facilitating collaboration between internal teams and external stakeholders. This is a full-time, salary, exempt position

 

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the management of all phases of civil engineering projects, including planning, design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
  • Support the technical delivery of civil engineering projects, including public infrastructure and transportation initiatives.
  • Assist in developing project scopes, budgets, schedules, and work plans in coordination with leadership and clients.
  • Track and support management of project performance, including deliverables and timelines.
  • Participate in construction administration activities such as site visits, progress tracking, and responding to contractor inquiries.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, consultants, and internal teams to ensure design and construction requirements are met.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, design standards, and codes.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of engineering reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Assist in monitoring project schedules and help ensure timely completion of technical deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff as needed.
  • Support planning and supervision of design and construction activities on advanced projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Oklahoma.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in civil or public infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience managing Engineering projects such as water/wastewater systems, electrical/controls systems, drainage, roadways, and utility coordination.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations, design standards, and permitting processes.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles related to design, permitting, and construction administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and coordinate across disciplines.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
