Full Job Description
Role Responsibilities:
  • Support business development activities by maintaining and developing relationships with existing and new potential clients.
  • Plan and manage activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within
  • prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
  • Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and acts in the capacity of hiring manager to recruit project
  • personnel.
  • Confer with project staff to outline workplan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Lead and execute 3-5 medium sized projects.

  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.
  • Prepare project reports for management, client, or others.
  • Update dashboards for project metrics (status, completion, risks, etc.).
  • Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Provide constructive feedback to improve individual performance.
  • Plan and schedule employee training to ensure proper skill and knowledge levels.
  • Adhere to all client and Company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Special projects or other duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Engineering degree (mechanical, chemical, industrial, electrical)
  • P.Eng. or working towards obtaining license in Ontario (P.Eng. required for Project Engineer role)
  • Minimum of 6-8 years pharmaceutical engineering experience
  • Practical experience in Project Management methodologies
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Hands-on experience in design, User Requirement Specification (URS), and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Skilled in writing Engineering lifecycle documentation
  • Confident and experienced in leading technical meetings and presentations
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Proficient with computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
  • Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Certain projects within this role may require successful completion of a vision assessment (20/20 near vision, corrected or uncorrected) and a colour-perception test.
