Responsibilities

Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager, Roadways to join our team in our Edmonton office. The successful candidate will have experience engaging with clients directly in providing innovative design solutions in the transportation sector. You will lead with a forward-thinking approach that promotes a team environment to improve overall group performance and client service. You will provide technical expertise and project management on transportation projects for public and private sector clients with a focus on highways, roads, and transportation-related infrastructure.

What you'll do:
  • Providing project leadership role with a team in the preparation of designs, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents, as well as participating in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, and inspection.
  • Advancing projects through the concept, design, and construction phases; managing existing clients; and developing new clients.
  • Delivering projects on budget and within identified schedules.
  • Acting as the primary contact for all project-related client communications.
  • Leading a multi-disciplinary project team to undertake major transportation projects.
  • Mentoring and coaching a team of engineers and technologists.
  • Engaging in a collaborative work environment with your team as well as other disciplines and offices.

Does this sound like you?
  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution or a Civil Engineering or Technology diploma from an accredited technical college
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA or Registered with ASET (or eligible for registration).
  • For P. Eng. 8+ years of progressive experience in Civil Engineering for public and private sector clients with a focus on the Transportation sector. For Technologists, 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience working with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors is a requirement. (This rile would often be called Project Director for TEC).
  • Proven project management and business development experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel throughout Alberta.
